First of all there are different styles of music and concepts of a saxophone sound. The "best" embouchure for a jazz or rock musician may not be the same as the "best" embouchure for a musician who plays classical saxophone. The "bottom lip rolled out" expression is used a lot in discussions about saxophone embouchures.The Supreme comes in seven different finishes. This means that, in the hypothetical two-model system, it wouldn't be possible to buy, say, a new silver-plated Selmer horn without springing for a Supreme. For a tenor, that would mean close to $12k. CSU, Long Beach (now the Cole Conservatory) has had a large Saxophone Ensemble for the past 25+ years. It was started by Leo Potts in the early 80's and is currently conducted by Jay Mason. Space allow for more easy playing of bell low notes too. The mute looks nice with a cool shape, it's classy. There are mount and hole for mic/wire, and a hole to hold a lyre for reading music.
